BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU FUNDAMENTALS
Fundamentals Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes provides an introduction to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu positions, transitions, attacks, and escapes. The Fundamentals BJJ Program provides a foundation of basic and essential BJJ techniques for the beginner and experienced practitioner alike. Fundamentals BJJ classes include BJJ specific movement based warm-ups, conditioning, technical instruction and drilling, positional sparring, and free sparring. Drilling and positional sparring are core components of the Fundamentals class.
BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU ADVANCED
Advanced Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes build upon the foundational techniques of jiu-jitsu. Advanced instruction consists of a more in depth exploration of BJJ techniques, situational application of techniques, and BJJ strategy. Classes consist of additional conditioning, technical instruction and drilling, situational drilling, positional sparring, and free sparring. Participants in the Advanced classes should have a solid understanding of basic BJJ positions and principles and a fluency in basic BJJ techniques. Advanced classes are recommended to the practitioner with a minimum of 9 months experience in consistent BJJ training.
KIDS & JUNIORS BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU
The Kids (5-7 years) and Juniors (8-13 years) Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu programs at Paragon Austin provide a safe and controlled environment for your child to learn the martial art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Paragon Austin BJJ classes are a great way for kids to stay active and have fun, while building greater self esteem, self confidence, discipline, respect, and focus. Kids and Juniors BJJ classes focus on both self-defense and sport jiu-jitsu techniques.
